Adam Pearce officially announces major WWE title match
WWE is just out of Clash at the Castle: Scotland, and the promotion is already gearing up for the next big event. After a swerve in the storylines, Adam Pearce has publicly announced an upcoming title match.
Damian Priest retained the World Heavyweight Championship over Drew McIntyre this past Saturday in Glasgow, Scotland. However, The Archer of Infamy was confronted on tonight's RAW by Seth Rollins, who made a surprise return from injury. The Visionary quickly made it known he wanted a shot at the championship he lost on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
Pearce has now confirmed Rollins vs. Priest for Money In the Bank on Saturday, July 6, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The RAW General Manager said he had no choice but to sanction the title match after Rollins issued the challenge, and Priest accepted.
"It is official," Adam Pearce tweeted in response to WWE.
WWE is also holding Money In the Bank Ladder Match qualifiers on tonight's RAW, and Sportskeeda Wrestling has the full details. IYO SKY has already qualified for the Women's MITB match, with five other competitors to be determined later. Jey Uso, Rey Mysterio, or Finn Balor will likely qualify for the Men's MITB match later tonight.
