Adam Pearce shares statement following Hell in a Cell announcement on WWE RAW

WWE RAW General Manager, Adam Pearce has shared a three-word message in a recent social media post. On the latest edition of the red brand's show, Pearce announced that Drew McIntyre and CM Punk would lock horns in a Hell in a Cell Match at Bad Blood.

The two former WWE Champions are currently involved in one of the most fierce rivalries in professional wrestling. The Scottish Warrior and The Second City Saint have faced each other twice, with both stars winning one contest each. Punk had to be rushed to a medical facility after McIntyre brutally attacked The Best in the World on RAW following Bash in Berlin.

Ahead of the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW, Adam Pearce took to his X (fka Twitter) account to share a graphic image featuring himself and former World Heavyweight Champion, Drew McIntyre. The post also delivered a message via text written in the image.

"Love somebody today ❤️🙏," read the text.

Adam Pearce opens up about a WWE General Manager's role

After playing several roles on and off the camera, Adam Pearce was made an on-screen authority figure in 2020. He handled both RAW and SmackDown till he became the General Manager of the red brand in October 2023. WWE simultaneously introduced Nick Aldis as SmackDown's GM.

During his appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Adam Pearce opened up about the role of a General Manager. The former NWA World Heavyweight Champion pointed out that the GM could play a huge part in changing the direction of a storyline, but the main focus was always on the WWE Superstars.

"This position [of a General manager], okay, it's a supporting character on a television show that, by definition, isn't there to overshadow or step on the superstars. They are the beacons that we want the eyes focused on. But the General Manager or the WWE Official that I played for years before that, that's an informational conduit to what you just said, to make sure that everybody understands the context to what is happening with these larger-than-life characters that are on their screens every Monday and every Friday. And sometimes they're the focus of the direction of the story, [and] sometimes the GM is there to change the direction of the story but the story is always about the superstar," he said.
