After John Cena, WWE teases another major star for Elimination Chamber: Toronto in 2025
World Wrestling Entertainment has already begun advertising many shows in 2025 as the last appearance of 16-time World Champion John Cena. The company's former poster boy will retire from in-ring competition next year around this time. Thus his upcoming wrestling contests are labeled a Farewell Tour.
Elimination Chamber 2025 will be hosted by the Rogers Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on March 1. The show will feature a John Cena appearance, as announced. WWE has released its poster, which has sparked intrigue as it also features one of Cena's best rivals, CM Punk.
Aside from The Best in the World, Elimination Chamber: Toronto's poster also features some of the company's top stars, such as Jey Uso, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley.

This past Saturday, WWE's Survivor Series: WarGames aired from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The country has always been a favorite location for the Stamford-based promotion's international events.
It remains to be seen if hometown heroes such as Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will appear on the card. Stratus is open to getting back in the ring after her successful run in 2023. Her last appearance was at Money in the Bank in Toronto earlier this year, where she introduced Cena before the latter's retirement announcement.
Will WWE give an epilogue to the CM Punk vs. John Cena rivalry in 2025?
John Cena's Farewell Tour announcement has led many names — some even rivals of his past — to put their names forth as potential final opponents. At Money in the Bank 2011, CM Punk and John Cena wrestled in the main event for the WWE Championship. After Punk's victory, he fled from the arena. At the time, the title contest was believed to be his final WWE match. However, they continued their rivalry for over a year thereafter.
In an interview with Peter Rosenberg recently, The Second City Saint reiterated his desire to run it back with John Cena, who was an integral part of his rise in WWE.
"There's big match John [Cena] coming right around the corner. Another guy that I don't want to talk about because he's going to do his own thing. And if I'm a part of that, what a fortunate career I've had. But John deserves everything that he wants. I mean, he calls his own shots, is basically what I'm saying. But yeah, I'd love to get hands on him too," Punk said.
John Cena vs. CM Punk at Money in the Bank 2011 was rated five stars by wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer and remained the sole main roster match to receive such a rating until Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell 2022.
