AJ Styles furious; Cody Rhodes accepts major title match but adds a new stipulation

Cody Rhodes accepted a challenge for a major title match but added a unique stipulation to it. This turn of events left AJ Styles furious on WWE SmackDown tonight.

At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes did the unthinkable and dethroned Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion. Since becoming champion, Cody has had his hands full with challengers gunning for him. The most dangerous of these challengers was AJ Styles.

Styles first challenged Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Backlash in France. However, he came up short after an amazing match. However, this match did little to stop him from pursuing the title. He asked Aldis for one more opportunity and when he was denied, Styles faked his retirement only to viciously attack The American Nightmare.

This left Cody fuming tonight on SmackDown and he was waiting in the parking lot for AJ Styles. However, Nick Aldis got his security out to the parking lot to prevent a brawl just as The Phenomenal One was arriving. Cody then went out to the ring and called out Styles.

The Phenomenal One came out and demanded another title match at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland. Cody accepted but said that he was going to make Styles say "I Quit" during their match. Aldis made the match official which only made AJ furious. Cody then tried to get to Styles but was held back by the secuity team, allowing Style to take a cheap shot.

It looks like this feud between AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes is getting more personal with each passing week.
