AJ Styles labelled "one of the greatest to ever do it" amid WWE injury absence
AJ Styles returned to WWE after a hiatus a couple of weeks ago but met with a massive injury, sidelining him for another few months. Amid his recent absence, thanks to the injury, WWE NXT star, Robert Stone has labeled The Phenomenal One as "one of the greatest to ever do it."
AJ Styles faced Carmelo Hayes in his return match on the blue brand and was taken out of the arena with a leg injury that he suffered during his match. Further, The Phenomenal One provided an update on his leg, stating that the injury was called a "Lisfranc injury."
WWE superstar Robert Stone took to X (fka Twitter) to address the recent crossover between WWE NXT and TNA, which has been an amazing development for wrestling fans. He further added that the game had truly changed now. In addition to that, the NXT star sent a shout-out to AJ Styles, calling the latter one of the greatest stars to step into the squared circle.
"This 2012 pic was from a time when a TNA and WWE relationship seemed impossible. Now #NXTNA is truly changing the game adding to the fact that anything can happen on @TheCW_Sports every Tuesday and @AXSTV every Thursday. Also AJ is one of the greatest to ever do it IMO," he wrote.
When will AJ Styles make it back to the squared circle?
With AJ Styles injured once again at the age of 47, the WWE Universe has been wondering if the former champion would make it back to the ring. Since the timeline for Styles' injury is not clear yet, the star's return remains a question.
Generally, in the situation of a Lisfranc injury, if surgery is not required and the injury is not very concerning, the star could be back in around eight weeks. However, if surgery is needed, the star might miss another year of his wrestling career. Fans will have to wait for an update from the former WWE Champion over his injury.
