Alexa Bliss reacts to the passing of Bray Wyatt's fan and close friend Jodie Gilly
WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss has reacted to the untimely passing of Jodie Gilly. For those unaware, Gilly was a massive fan of the late Bray Wyatt and was incredibly close to him.
Jodie's husband, Christopher Gilly, shared the tragic news on social media, leaving Wrestling Twitter heartbroken. The post received condolences from wrestling fans and many wrestling personalities. Jason Baker, designer of The Fiend's mask and Bray Wyatt's close friend, sent his condolences on X/Twitter.
Baker's tweet received a response from Alexa Bliss as can be seen below:
"Prayers to Jodie’s family. So sorry for your loss 🖤"
What the future has in store for Little Miss Bliss remains to be seen.
The late Bray Wyatt once had an incredibly wholesome interaction with Jodie Gilly
Shortly after Bray Wyatt's passing in August 2023, Jodie Gilly shared a heartfelt text message exchange that she had with The New Face of Fear on X/Twitter. Wyatt was aware that Gilly was a massive fan and followed her back on X/Twitter.
After Wyatt followed her back, Gilly sent occasional messages to him complimenting his matches and promos. At one point, she felt that she was bothering him and shared the same in another message. Wyatt responded to the message and let Jodie know that she could never bother him. Check out the exchange below:
"After he followed me back, I would send random messages just to say he had a great match or I loved that promo. He would heart react to some of them. But I felt like I was being a pest (behavior pattern from past trauma). So I sent him this DM and this was his reply. ❤️"
Alexa Bliss got quite close to the late Bray Wyatt during her on-screen run as his cohort. The duo formed an alliance on SmackDown in mid-2020, was later drafted to RAW, and Bliss finally turned against Wyatt at WrestleMania 37. That night, she cost him a match against his arch-rival, Randy Orton.
Sportskeeda Wrestling sends its condolences to Jodie's family and friends.
