Andrade reveals why he returned to WWE ahead of RAW
WWE star Andrade has shared an interesting message ahead of tomorrow night's edition of RAW. The former AEW star picked up a major victory this past Friday on SmackDown.
Andrade defeated Kevin Owens and Grayson Waller to qualify for the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder match. In a backstage interview following his victory on Friday night, the former NXT Champion admitted that he felt great. He added that he was one victory away from a title shot and noted that he returned to the company to win.
"I am tranquilo. I feel happy, I feel great. I am here to win. That is why I am back in WWE, to win. One more victory and I will have my opportunity for the championship. One more, see you Monday night," he said.
Andrade wrapped up his time in All Elite Wrestling with a loss to Miro at Worlds Ends 2023. Miro, formerly known as Rusev, has not competed in a match in All Elite Wrestling since his victory at the event last December.
EC3 comments on Andrade's return to WWE
NWA Champion EC3 has shared his thoughts on Andrade making a return to the promotion.
During an episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws show, EC3 noted that Andrade is married to Charlotte Flair in real life and that could have played a part in his decision to return to the company. He added that some wrestlers may want to return now after Vince McMahon's exit from the company.
"If your wife [Charlotte Flair] is there, is the grass necessarily greener? I mean, there's a bigger forum, and probably... I mean, to trade one former creative tyrant for a new one and to see that maybe things have opened up and changed, and maybe the high morale in the WWE locker room is because Vince [McMahon] is gone, is more welcoming. Plus, you get the familiarity and the comfort, and your wife, and you are in the biggest show in town. Like, seems like a good bet." [From 09:17 onwards]
The 34-year-old is also currently the WWE Speed Champion after dethroning Ricochet. Only time will tell if he can win the Money in the Bank Ladder match next month.
