Andrade says 29-year-old star is "next" for him after failing to win the Money in the Bank briefcase
It seems like Andrade will finally be involved in his first singles feud since returning to WWE at Royal Rumble 2024. He has targeted a major 29-year-old star, claiming that former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes is "next" for him.
Andrade fell short in his attempt to become Mr. Money in the Bank a week ago. Even so, he took plenty of risks in his performance, earning him acclaim from fans.
When being interviewed by Byron Saxton before SmackDown went on the air and fans entered the arena, there was one simple question for Andrade: "What's next?" Almost immediately, Carmelo Hayes came out.
Hayes, also a part of the Money in the Bank ladder match and one of the show stealers, talked trash to the former NXT Champion before the Mexican star told Byron that Carmelo was next for him.
It's going to be interesting to see how things play out. In a seemingly desperate attempt to prove a point, Carmelo brought up facing Cody Rhodes in his SmackDown debut, being a high-positioned draft pick, and beating Randy Orton.
The Mexican star, for his part, seemed completely unfazed by this.
Many fans have expressed some excitement over the feud. Carmelo Hayes was brutally taken out by "El Idolo" in Toronto.
