"Anyone can get lucky one time" - Carmelo Hayes says he is ready for rematch against current champion

WWE star Carmelo Hayes is ready for a rematch against Andrade. The two stars faced off on the July 19 episode of SmackDown.

Last week on the blue brand, Carmelo and Andrade put on an instant classic. The match got a lot of hype after the two stars put it all in the ring. Despite his innovative offense, Hayes tried to hit the Nothing but Net on his opponent but got caught in The Message. This allowed the WWE Speed Champion to pick up the hard-fought win.

During the latest episode of SmackDown LowDown, Byron Saxton caught up with Hayes backstage. The star claimed that Andrade's win last week was a lucky shot. Carmelo Hayes also spoke about how he's made a career out of proving naysayers wrong and vowed to settle the scores the next time they meet in the ring.

"Bryon, there's really not much to talk about here. Anyone can get lucky one time. This rematch you can bet on me, you can bet on Andrade. But ask anybody who's ever bet against me, what happens and where they're at now. Check their bank account. I guarantee they're broke. That's it." [From 1:33 - 1:50]

Andrade also acknowledged Carmelo Hayes after the match

After the match last week, Andrade also spoke with correspondent Byron Saxton and shared his thoughts about the match.

He gave props to Carmelo Hayes and claimed that the rookie has a bright future in WWE. Andrade revealed that he was a lot like Hayes when he was his age. However, the Speed Champion made it clear that he was there to win no matter who was in the ring against him.

It will be interesting to see who comes out on top the next time these super-athletes collide in the ring.
