Asuka shares cryptic return tease ahead of WWE RAW
The WWE Universe has patiently waited for Asuka's comeback for several months now. After revealing a recent surgery, the Damage CTRL member began her recovery and has updated fans along the way. Now there's new speculation on a major upcoming return for the multi-time champion.
The Empress Of Tomorrow has not wrestled in 191 days. Asuka's last match was at Backlash: France in early May, where she and Kairi Sane dropped the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. The 43-year-old was then pulled from the Queen of the Ring Tournament and it was later revealed that she underwent knee surgery in early June. The speculation was that she had lingering issues and had been seen limping for months.
The World Famous fueled rumors and speculation on social media today after sharing a photo that showed her holding a fire extinguisher at a WWE event. Her cryptic post contained the "I'm a Firefighter" song from Disney's Firebuds show.
Asuka's photo is from the Women's WarGames match at the 2023 Survivor Series PLE. The 34-minute match saw Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Shotzi defeat Damage CTRL's Asuka, Bayley, Kairi Sane, and IYO SKY. With the 38th annual Survivor Series set for Saturday, November 30, many are wondering if the nine-time WWE champion is teasing an early return, and another upcoming WarGames spot for Damage CTRL.
