Asuka shares unfortunate update; potential return setback

Asuka shared a message today on social media amid her WWE hiatus. The veteran has not competed in a match since The Kabuki Warriors lost the Women's Tag Team Championship to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at Backlash: France, earlier this year.

The Empress of Tomorrow took to social media today to post an unfortunate update. She shared a picture of herself in a hospital bed with a video of Homer Simpson from The Simpsons, possibly indicating that she was in a medical facility again. The Damage CTRL member was supposed to compete in the Queen of the Ring Tournament but was pulled due to a knee injury and she has been recovering since.

It is important to note that Asuka did not disclose if the image posted on her Instagram today was from earlier this year or whether she had undergone further medical procedures more recently.
