Ava admits she made a "really good choice" in bringing 310-lb monster back to WWE after over a month
NXT General Manager Ava seems to be happy about a decision she made to bring back a 310-pound superstar after 41 days at Deadline 2024. She praised her own decision after Eddy Thorpe was deemed medically not cleared to compete.
The way things played out at NXT Deadline's Men's Iron Survivor Match was incredible. The final spot, reserved for Eddy Thorpe, was given to the returning Oba Femi. The Nigerian star hasn't been seen since October 27 when he lost to Tony D'Angelo in a rematch. He ended up winning by the skin of his teeth with three pinfalls as opposed to two each for Je'Von Evans and Ethan Page.
Ava took to her X (fka Twitter) account and said that she'd made a really good choice by bringing back Oba Femi to be Eddy Thorpe's replacement.

Oba Femi's step up to the NXT Championship picture was always expected, even when he was the longest-reigning North American Champion. Two successive losses to Tony D'Angelo gave him a good reason to move forward.
After taking a break that reportedly saw him go to Nigeria for a while, he seems refreshed and better than ever.
Trick Williams vs Oba Femi is a prospect that has been teased before on NXT television and now with Femi's victory in the Iron Survivor Match, this matchup is bound to be a blockbuster.
