Backstage update on Big E's in-ring return after WWE RAW segment (Exclusive)

Big E made his much-awaited return to WWE RAW this past Monday, but things didn't turn out the way he would have hoped. The former champion was booted out of The New Day by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, who told the fans E wouldn't ever be cleared to compete.

Speaking on Live Q&A on Backstage Pass, WrestleVotes provided an update on Big E's in-ring return following the segment that went down between all three members of The New Day on RAW.

"What they are hearing about Big E is to be determined. Nobody knows if he's cleared or not cleared. They're keeping it kind of quiet, which leads me to think he might be close to being cleared. I can't report that. I can't say that with certainty." [30:20 onwards]

However, WrestleVotes said he believed E's in-ring return might happen sooner than later because of how the angle featuring The New Day played out on RAW this past Monday.

"But just the way everything went down last night, and the fact that there's no new information, I guess that it's a possibility he can be back in the ring sooner rather than later." [29:50 onwards]

For those unaware, E's WWE career was cut short following a botched belly-to-belly suplex on SmackDown two years ago. It remains to be seen if E will get the medical clearance he needs to get back inside the squared circle.
