Batista sends a message to CM Punk following major announcement
While Batista and CM Punk may not be colleagues anymore, the duo still share a close bond. The Animal recently sent a message to the WWE star following a major announcement concerning the latter.
CM Punk shocked the wrestling world last year when he returned to the Stamford-based promotion nearly a decade after leaving the company on a controversial note. While The Second City Saint has competed in just one match since his return, he has been a regular face on TV programming and is currently involved in a feud with Drew McIntyre despite being injured.
The Best in The World is still as popular among fans as he was a decade ago, with his merchandise selling faster than most stars. It was also recently announced that Punk has signed a deal with Paradigm, one of the best talent agencies in the world.
Batista, who is no longer a part of the pro wrestling world, reacted to the announcement with a short, appreciative message on social media.
CM Punk helping Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle would be excellent, according to Matt Camp
CM Punk has been feuding with Drew McIntyre over the past several months. The Voice of The Voiceless was a major reason why Drew's World Heavyweight Championship run ended in five minutes and 46 seconds at WrestleMania XL, as the latter got attacked by Punk, leading to a cash-in from Damian Priest.
However, The Scottish Warrior will get another shot at the title in front of his home crowd at Clash at the Castle this weekend. While many expect CM Punk to once again cost Drew, former RAW Talk host Matt Camp believes that The Second City Saint helping McIntyre win would be an excellent twist.
"I love that, Matthew. Excellent. Excellent. Obviously, The Judgment Day can't get involved, but that is interesting. Or if he [CM Punk] helps him [Drew McIntyre] at all? He wakes up the ref. Whatever it may be, 'You needed me! You had your moment at home, and you still needed me to make that moment!' I like that," he said.
The Judgment Day is banned from the ringside during the World Heavyweight Championship match at Clash at the Castle as Drew McIntyre defeated Finn Balor in the main event of RAW this week. The Scottish Warrior has the golden opportunity to win the title in front of his home crowd this weekend. It will be interesting to see if he finally gets the job done in Glasgow.
