Bayley maintains silence on championship picture; delivers a "cliffhanger" after SmackDown

SmackDown star Bayley is seemingly making plans to regain the WWE Women's Championship. The star made her in-ring return this past Friday, defeating Tiffany Stratton in a singles match.

Bayley was out of action for three weeks since her SummerSlam 2024 loss to Nia Jax. The Role Model showed up last week, attacking Stratton as retribution for costing her the WWE Women's Title. This week, the 35-year-old completed her revenge with a satisfying win over the self-proclaimed Center of the Universe.

WWE correspondent Byron Saxton caught up with Bayley on The SmackDown Lowdown this week. The star spoke about her plans for the Women's Title but didn't reveal much. She claimed that several people were disappointed when she lost the gold, and she was working on a plan to win it back.

"I get tweeted that a lot. People are wondering or they're upset. My nephews were upset that I lost the title, so I feel pretty bad about that. I think I'm gonna save those comments. We'll wait till next week or something. I have something in mind, I have it on my mind, of course. We always want to be on top, but maybe let's wait on that one. A cliffhanger, a little Tiffy hanger. A Tiffhanger!" [1:30 - 2:05]

Bayley also spoke about WWE capping off its deal with FOX

During the interview, the Grand Slam Champion mentioned that ending WWE's run on FOX with a win was a great moment. She recalled being there when SmackDown aired for the first time on the network and claimed it was a full circle moment for her.

The 35-year-old star was also excited about the season premiere of SmackDown on the USA Network next week and said it could be the start of new things for her. It will be interesting to see whether The Role Model can regain the Women's Title from Nia Jax in the coming weeks.
