Bayley mocks WWE star ahead of departure; 33-year-old reacts

Bayley is the current WWE Women's Champion. She has been with the company since December 2012, and will likely remain on the roster for years to come. A certain star recently left the promotion, and The Role Model is having a bit of fun at their expense.

Kayla Braxton finished up with the Stamford-based promotion at Friday's SmackDown from Madison Square Garden. The on-air talent recently announced her departure and indicated that she is done with pro wrestling, despite rumors of "secret talks" with AEW. WWE aired behind-the-scenes footage of various superstars bidding farewell to the 33-year-old, and one of the well-wishers was Kayla's friend Bayley.

The Role Model took to her Instagram story and shared a fan clip of her backstage SmackDown segment with Braxton, where she carried the former co-host of The Bump away through the halls of the arena. Bayley attached NSYNC's chart-topping "Bye Bye Bye" single to poke fun at her outgoing colleague.

Braxton responded on her own Instagram story and included the song. She left a four-word response for the former Damage CTRL leader.

"You're gonna miss me @itsmebayley !!!" Kayla Braxton wrote.

Braxton joined the company in October 2016 and worked numerous jobs on NXT, RAW, and SmackDown. She hosted non-televised live events, conducted backstage interviews on all three shows, and served as co-host of The Bump and SmackDown LowDown, among other roles.

Is WWE open to bringing Kayla Braxton back?

Kayla Braxton is no longer with World Wrestling Entertainment. The fan-favorite on-air talent spent almost eight years with the company.

Braxton announced her pending departure earlier this month on social media and then finished up at Friday's SmackDown from Madison Square Garden. Backstage sources just reported on how officials are open to bringing the 33-year-old back someday if she wants.

Cody Rhodes gave Braxton a special send-off after SmackDown at The Garden. After returning backstage, Kayla was greeted and congratulated by Triple H and others. The Alabama native said she could not have asked for a better farewell, adding that the WWE family is truly special and she plans to always be a part of it.
