Bayley reacts to major WWE veteran returning to SmackDown this week
WWE star Bayley shared a tweet after her return on SmackDown this week. This was her first TV appearance since losing at SummerSlam earlier this month.
It was a historic episode of SmackDown this week as WWE taped a major show in Germany for the first time in 27 years. The main event was Michin vs. Nia Jax in a Street Fight for the Women's Championship. During the match's final stages, the challenger planted Nia with an earth-shattering powerbomb through a table. This led to Tiffany Stratton running in with the Money in the Bank contract. However, she decided against cashing in, and a returning Bayley took her out. All this chaos allowed Jax to hit the Annihilator on her opponent for the win.
After her return, Bayley took to Twitter to share her thoughts. The message was directed at announcer and WWE veteran Michael Cole. The Role Model said he returned to the blue brand this week, questioning the coincidence that the two "frenemies" would return on the same show.
"Why’d me and @MichaelCole come back to Smackdown on da same day," she wrote.
Bayley lost the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam
Heading into SummerSlam, the Role Model was the WWE Women's Champion. Earlier this year, she won the title from IYO SKY at WrestleMania XL.
However, she faced the formidable Nia Jax at SummerSlam. Jax had earlier won the Queen of the Ring tournament to get an opportunity at the title. Nia also ensured that the current Miss Money in the Bank, Tiffany Stratton, didn't cash in during the match by intimidating her.
However, Tiffy Time showed up during the match, seemingly in an attempt to cash in her Money in the Bank contract. The Role Model blasted her, but this distraction was enough for Nia to hit a couple of Annihilators on her for the win.
