Bayley reflects on major WWE anniversary with Damage CTRL

Damage CTRL was introduced at the 2022 SummerSlam Premium Live Event. The faction went on to dominate the women's division for almost two years, before kicking on Bayley earlier this year. The Role Model recently recalled the debut of the stable.

The group initially consisted of now-former leader Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai. On their first night, the faction confronted Bianca Belair after her match against Becky Lynch. In doing so, the former hugger resumed her feud with Belair.

On Twitter/X, Bayley shared a photo featuring her former stablemates and sent a two-word message on the second anniversary of the group's debut.

"2 years," wrote Bayley.

Fast forward to 2024 and Bayley is no longer a member of the faction. On the Road to WrestleMania XL, The Role Model was betrayed by SKY, Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane. This led to a singles match between the former leader of the faction and Genius of the Sky at The Show of Shows, where The Role Model walked out as the new WWE Women's Champion.

Damage CTRL is currently working on Monday Night RAW. On the latest edition of the show, the faction returned to confront Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler.

Bayley explained why she brought Dakota Kai into Damage CTRL

In the lead-up to WrestleMania XL, Dakota Kai initially aligned with Bayley before betraying her and rejoining Damage CTRL. This led to a singles match between both superstars on SmackDown.

On social media, Bayley sent a message to her former stablemate before their match, claiming she was always aware of Kai's talent.

"I brought you in because I knew you were special. I knew how talented you were, unlike anyone on the roster in so many ways. I saw myself in you - the way nobody quite believed in you the way that they should, and the way you used that as fuel to make yourself such a unique performer. I can’t wait to see if I was right. Are you really that good? Or did I just see what I wanted to see because you were my friend.. I want the real you tomorrow @imkingkota, I dare you not to hold back,"
