Bayley's former tag team partner takes major shot at former WWE Women's Champion

Former Women's Champion Bayley's former tag team partner might have set her sights on her after taking a shot at the former WWE Women's Champion on social media. Asuka is currently out with an injury but continues to talk trash against her former Damage CTRL stablemate. The group also consisted of IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai.

The Empress of Tomorrow has been out of action since early May due to a knee injury. She underwent successful surgery although reports suggest that she won't be cleared to return this year. She also confirmed that she's still rehabbing her injury.

In a post on her Instagram account, Asuka used a viral meme to take shots at her former stablemate. The meme claimed that The Role Model won't have a chance against Kairi Sane and Asuka. It also seemed like a subtle shot at IYO SKY since it referenced her loss at WrestleMania 40.

Bayley was kicked out of Damage CTRL shortly after winning the Royal Rumble match earlier this year. She defeated SKY at WrestleMania 40 to become the new WWE Women's Champion. The group has not fully recovered since but SKY recently defeated Bianca Belair in a singles match on RAW.

Asuka feuding with one of her former partners upon her return seems like a good start but The Empress of Tomorrow is currently assigned to the red brand. The former WWE Women's Champ remained on SmackDown.

Bayley could become a WWE executive once she retired

At the age of 35, Bayley is still in her prime even though she has already accomplished a lot in her career. Her former tag team partner and real-life friend Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks, predicted The Role Model to become a WWE executive upon retirement.

Mone stated that the multi-time women's champion was a natural leader and that coaching was something she always talked about.

"The subject of Bayley coaching the WWE’s women's roster one day came up in conversation recently. All I can say is that she’s been a natural leader for years, and that coaching is something she's always talked about. I see her opening her own wrestling school someday, if not being an actual WWE executive when she hangs up her boots. Even now, Bayley's the go-to person backstage—always ready to help and elevate the women around her," Mone said on her latest newsletter. [H/T Fightful]

The former WWE Women's Champion recently returned after losing her title to Nia Jax at SummerSlam. She's currently feuding with Jax and Tiffany Stratton with help from Naomi.
