Bayley says 22-year-old Champion makes her "happy" after incredible title defense

Bayley came up through the WWE Performance Center (albeit not from the start of her career) and has a keen eye for talent. She reacted to a current Champion's title defense and said that the star makes her happy.

She was, of course, talking about NXT Heatwave - the final show of the Money in the Bank weekend. Every match on the card delivered in a big way, arguably surpassing the Money in the Bank show in terms of quality.

One of the stars who walked out victorious was Women's Champion Roxanne Perez. The Role Model posted a photo of her watching NXT Heatwave and said that the 22-year-old Perez makes her happy.

Perez overcame a very game Lola Vice. The prodigy is a two-time NXT Women's Champion.

Roxanne Perez revealed the cool relationship she has with Bayley

Roxanne Perez and many others have a good relationship with other superstars who are senior to them, but the WWE Women's Champion, in particular, seems keen on giving back.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, Roxanne Perez revealed that she views The Role Model like an older sister:

"Bayley is so fricking awesome. When she was down at the Performance Center for rehab, she really got to connect with me and some of the other girls that came from wrestling just like her. And it's crazy because I met her like when I was 14; it was an indie show, and she was there. I met her and told her I wanna be a WWE wrestler, 'I'm gonna start training,' and I have a picture with her," said Roxanne Perez. "To be able to learn from her and get so much advice. She's like a big sister, so she's awesome."

It's wholesome to see veterans supporting young up-and-coming talent. The current WWE Women's Champion certainly knows the value of the system she was raised in and the importance of giving back.
