Bayley sends a message to opponent after defeating her to claim the number-one contender's spot
WWE Superstar Bayley recently returned to SmackDown after a break following her Women’s Championship loss at SummerSlam. This week, she catapulted herself back into the title race after earning the number-one contender’s spot to challenge Nia Jax. Following her win, she sent a message to her opponent. The name in question is Naomi.
Bayley and Naomi share strong friendly ties. However, their ambition to dethrone Jax and win the world title had created a divide between them. Moreover, they even argued last week after they both pinned Jax, prompting General Manager Nick Aldis to intervene and book this week’s singles match.
After the match, The Glow and The Role Model were seen mending the damage that occurred because of the race to get the title shot. To add a little more sweetness to the package, the former WWE Women's Champion sent Naomi a message via a tweet on X.
“Thank you @TheTrinity_Fatu. Love you sister, forreals 💚 #SmackDown.”
While The Role Model sent a loving message to The Glow, she will now face her nemesis with whom she has a seven-year grudge.
Bayley to finally settle her 2017 score with Nia Jax?
The history between Nia Jax and Bayley goes back to 2017 when The Irresistible Force had badly injured The Role Model. This put her hand in a cast and forced her to miss that year’s SummerSlam. Bringing up the grudge ahead of their clash at this year’s SummerSlam, the babyface posted several images on Instagram.
These images showed the attack by Nia Jax, a beaten-up Bayley, her hand in the cast, and the news notification informing the WWE Universe that she will miss SummerSlam. However, The Role Model could neither settle the score with her nemesis nor defend her championship.
Now, she will face Jax once again, but this time, she will be the challenger, and the pressure is on the reigning champion right now. While Queen Nia threatened and ambushed The Role Model ahead of their clash last time, she can be seen gritting her teeth. Moreover, she is also taking her frustration out on Tiffany Stratton.
It would be interesting to see who emerges with the belt after the second title match between these bitter rivals.
