Bayley shares defiant message following major loss at WWE Bad Blood
Bayley shared a defiant message today on social media following her heartbreaking loss at WWE Bad Blood. The Role Model challenged Nia Jax for the WWE Women's Championship at the Premium Live Event this past Saturday night in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tiffany Stratton almost cashed in her Money in the Bank contract during the title match at Bad Blood, and the distraction ultimately cost Bayley. Jax was able to connect with a Samoan Drop and then the Annihilator to retain the title.
Following the loss, the SmackDown star took to her Instagram story to note that while she had lost the match, she hadn't lost the fight. You can check out the 35-year-old's message on her Instagram story by clicking here.
"Lost my match, not the fight," she wrote.
Bayley captured the WWE Women's Championship by defeating Damage CTRL's IYO SKY at WrestleMania XL. She put together an impressive title reign before being dethroned by Nia Jax earlier this year at SummerSlam.
The veteran was formerly the leader of Damage CTRL, but the faction betrayed her on the road to WrestleMania XL earlier this year. The group is now a part of the RAW roster, but both Dakota Kai and Asuka are currently out of action with injuries.
Former WWE writer claims SmackDown star is more valuable than Bayley
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently claimed that Chelsea Green was a more valuable performer than Bayley.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown on Backstage Pass, Russo reacted to Chelsea Green's Dumpster Match this past Friday night on SmackDown. Michin defeated Green in the match by powerbombing her into a dumpster outside the ring.
Russo suggested that the company needed to consider putting a singles title on Green and claimed she was more valuable than Bayley.
"I'm hoping they think she doesn't need the belt because she is so entertaining and she doesn't need a belt. That's what I'm hoping but my god, you know, after this, we see Bayley and Nia Jax stuff in the ring, and to me, Chelsea Green's worth on this roster is 10 times that of Bayley," he added. Nia Jax has been impressive so far as WWE Women's Champion. Only time will tell which SmackDown star will challenge the 40-year-old next for the title.
