Becky Lynch and ex-WWE champion returning in January after long absence must happen, says Jonathan Coachman
Wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman disclosed his desire to see two former champions return to WWE in January after several months of absence. He claimed their return would benefit the company.
Charlotte Flair suffered multiple knee injuries during a match against Asuka in December 2023. She has since been out of action. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch left the Stamford-based company earlier this year after her contract expired. While discussing WWE's potential 2025 plans on the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Coachman suggested The Man and The Queen should return next month.
The former Interim RAW General Manager pointed out that Flair and Lynch's comeback would help the company get through 2025 as they would have five legitimate female stars:
"If they could Charlotte Flair back and Becky, well, now we've got some with Liv [Morgan], with Chelsea Green, and with Rhea Ripley. Now, you got five legitimate stars to get through 2025. So, I hope both will be back in January," he said. [From 27:38 to 27:53]

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff wants Charlotte Flair to return at Royal Rumble
On his 83 Weeks podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recently discussed whether Charlotte Flair should return to television on RAW's premiere on Netflix or Royal Rumble.
The former RAW General Manager pointed out that he prefers that The Queen makes her comeback during the Women's Royal Rumble Match, pointing out that she would get a monster pop from the WWE Universe:
"Two great options, right? One option, returning her on Netflix services the client, which is always an important part of your business. The other services the audience because she would get a monster pop [at] Royal Rumble because of the nature of the event. She's gonna be getting a monster pop either way. But, God, what would I do? I'd save it for the Rumble. If I had the option, if I got a vote, I'd vote for the Rumble," he said.
RAW's debut on Netflix is expected to feature many top superstars. It would be interesting to see if Flair and Becky Lynch will be there.
