Becky Lynch sends message following WWE SummerSlam

Becky Lynch hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since May when she lost the Women's Championship to Liv Morgan on RAW. Lynch's contract has since expired and her future remains uncertain.

However, The Man recently sent out a message following SummerSlam advertising her upcoming episode of WWE Legends by A&E documentaries.

Lynch will be the focus of tonight's episode despite not taking part in SummerSlam this weekend. Her husband Seth Rollins was part of the show as he was the Special Guest Referee for the match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.

Punk lost the clash after he took his eye off the ball and hit Rollins with a GTS before being hit with a Claymore by Drew McIntyre. Rollins was then able to roll over and make the count. This could now lead to the feud between Rollins and Punk that wrestling fans have been waiting for since Punk's return. The clash was initially hindered when Punk was injured in the build-up to WrestleMania.

Will Becky Lynch return to WWE to align with her husband?

As already noted, Becky Lynch's future is up in the air, it's unclear what is next for Lynch since her contract has expired and it was noted that she may be sidelined for the rest of the year.

The former Women's Champion has already been open about how she disliked working with her real-life husband but the current feud could be an exception. With all of the talk of AJ Lee making her return after almost a decade, it would be interesting to see if WWE pushed Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins as a duo to take on Punk and AJ Lee.

The four stars have never been in the same ring together and it would allow them to extend the feud further and let Rollins vs Punk happen at WrestleMania 41 in April 2025.
