Becky Lynch teases new challenge, scheduled for a 'match'

Less than a week after appearing at WWE's press event for RAW's move to Netflix, Becky Lynch teased a new challenge for her amid her free agency. Lynch has a scheduled 'match' on Wednesday against a famous Hollywood actor.

The Man has been a free agent since her contract expired on June 1. She has been enjoying her time away from wrestling and has took up projects outside of WWE. She has also spent some quality time with her family, especially with her daughter Roux.

In a post on her Instgram account, Lynch announced that she would be facing Cobra Kai and Blue Beetle actor Xolo Maridueña on December 11. It wouldn't be a physical wrestling match, but a battle of wits and cards. The two personalities would face off in a game of Magic: The Gathering.

"Hello. You all know I love competition and I love a good new challenge. I'll be playing my very first game of Magic: The Gathering with my new friend, Xolo Maridueña. So came around to Magic: The Gathering, I came here looking for a fight so make sure to check it out," Lynch said.

Becky Lynch appeared on WWE's press event with Netflix

Several WWE Superstars and executives were present at a press event last Tuesday by Netflix for the upcoming debut of RAW on January 6. One of the biggest surprises there was Becky Lynch, who was with her husband Seth Rollins.

They were joined by other WWE personalities such as Nick Khan, Triple H, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, The Miz and Bianca Belair. They hyped up the unprecedented move to the streaming giant as part of a massive 10-year, $5 billion deal.

While Lynch is still a free agent, PW Nexus (H/T Sports Illustrated) reported that WWE was already planning the return of The Man, as well as Charlotte Flair. She has been recovering from knee injury that has sidelined her since last December.
