Beloved WWE Superstar was "almost blind" in one eye; makes emotional personal announcement about surgery

A top WWE star had to undergo surgery and has now made a very emotional announcement about it. She's provided updates about her health.

Natalya has been absent from WWE since June, and earlier today, she revealed this was because Triple H told her to take time off to deal with an eye issue that had been bothering her for a long time. The beloved veteran returned to the company on RAW and even won in front of the crowd in her home country.

In an Instagram post, she revealed that she had been born with an astigmatism in her left eye, and this had caused her a lot of issues. She said that she was almost blind in one eye, and her right eye always worked for her. This only changed recently after Titus O'Neil guided her to Newsom Eye.

"I was born with an astigmatism in my left eye, leaving me with one very weak eye, almost blind. My right eye did all the work for me. For years I’ve tried to fix my left eye, as it was basically useless, and I was always told 'just wear a contact in it.' The contacts would irritate my eye so much and I would have such a hard time putting them in and removing them every day. And they didn’t help. I pretty much gave up until a friend of mine told me to check out @newsomeye. (Thank you @titusoneilwwe 🙏)," she wrote on Instagram.

WWE veteran Natalya said what was done to fix her eye

In her post on Instagram, Natalya revealed details of the procedure. She said that she had a lens implant in her left eye to fix the issue.

She went on to say that the procedure changed her life.

"Finally there was a procedure/technology that has given me 20/20 vision in both my eyes. Newsom also tuned up my good eye and made it even stronger. When I tell you I see the world differently now, I really mean it. It changed my life in the best way."

Now that she's back, it appears she will be active on the RAW roster again.
