Beth Phoenix makes life-affirming promise following WWE exit

Beth Phoenix shared an interesting message today on social media following reports of her departure from WWE. The former champion's contract with the company reportedly expired earlier this week.

The Glamazon has not competed in a match since teaming with her husband Edge, now known as Adam Copeland in All Elite Wrestling, at Elimination Chamber 2023. The happy couple defeated The Judgment Day's Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor in a Mixed Tag Team match at the premium live event last February. Following reports of her departure from the company, Phoenix took to her Instagram story to share a promise to herself.

She shared a quote stating that she will look back a year from now and note that believing in herself worked. Phoenix added the caption "My promise to me" and you can check out her Instagram story by clicking here.

Former WWE star wants Beth Phoenix to join All Elite Wrestling

Backstage interviewer Renee Paquette, formerly known as Renee Young in WWE, has made it known that she is hoping to see Beth Phoenix in AEW.

Former AEW Women's Champion Britt Baker recently reacted to Phoenix's departure from WWE and disclosed that she wanted the veteran to join All Elite Wrestling. Renee Paquette took to social media to echo Baker's sentiment and shared that she would also like to see the 4-time champion join AEW in the future.

The veteran would not be able to use the "Phoenix" name in other promotions besides WWE if she were to continue her wrestling career. However, she could use the name "Beth Copeland" as "Beth" is her legal first name.

A recent report from Fightful Select disclosed that an AEW source informed the publication that if she was going to join the promotion, it would likely be when Adam Copeland returns to action. Only time will tell what the future holds for the 43-year-old in the world of professional wrestling.
