Bianca Belair pitches the addition of major new championship ahead of WWE SmackDown

Bianca Belair pitched the introduction of a new major title ahead of tonight's edition of WWE SmackDown. This week's episode of WWE SmackDown will air live on the USA Network from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.

The EST and Jade Cargill are the current Women's Tag Team Champions. The popular duo captured the titles from The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) earlier this month at Bash in Berlin and defeated them once again on this past Monday's edition of WWE RAW in a rematch.

Speaking on the latest edition of the Battleground Podcast, Bianca Belair made it known that she would like to see another women's title introduced by WWE on the main roster.

"Our roster is just so stacked, and I feel like another title would really highlight the true talent of our division. There are so many women that could get that opportunity, and it could really highlight their talent. There are so many women that are in NXT that are eventually going to get called up. So, I think it would be really cool to have another title, it just gives more opportunities for more women on the card," said Bianca Belair. [From 00:40 - 01:09]

Bianca Belair comments on teaming up with Jade Cargill in WWE

WWE SmackDown star Bianca Belair recently discussed being in a tag team with Jade Cargill.

Speaking at the Fanatics Fest Ring Revolutionaries panel, the champion noted that she teased a rivalry with Cargill during the Women's Royal Rumble match earlier this year. However, the Women's Tag Team Champions are focused on dominating the division now that they are on the same side.

"When I was presented with the opportunity to tag with her, I'm like, 'yeah, this would be great' because what's better than one, it's two, and I feel like it hits so much different when we're together. I think that people got a taste of that at the Royal Rumble where we were across the ring from each other, and we were pressing, and we just represent strong, powerful, confident women, and that's important to the both of us, and everybody saw that moment at the Royal Rumble, and we did that with saying anything or touching anything and magic happened. So, now that we're on the same side, we're here to take the tag team division by storm." [20:19 - 21:42]
