Bianca Belair reveals how Montez Ford influenced her iconic WWE look

Bianca Belair has established herself as one of the most popular stars on the WWE roster today. The EST has been a cornerstone of the Women’s Division in recent years.

One of Belair’s most distinctive features is her long braid. This has become synonymous with her persona. The iconic look has inspired many young fans, with girls in the crowd often trying to replicate her hairstyle. Interestingly, Belair recently revealed that the idea to keep the braid came from her husband, Montez Ford.

During an appearance on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, Belair shared that she initially wore the braid because she was a huge Beyonce fan. However, she later considered wearing her hair down, like the other women she trained with. However, Montez Ford encouraged her to keep the braid. He pointed out that it made her stand out in the crowd. Ford advised her to do the opposite of what everyone else was doing. Today, the braid has become a signature part of Belair’s iconic look.

“As far as the braid, the person behind the braid is actually [Montez Ford]. Yeah, so kudos to him. I’m a huge Beyonce fan, she wore a braid at the concert and I was like, I’m just gonna wear one just for a style... I was talking to my husband like, ‘Well, I don’t know if I want to wear the braid, I kind of want to wear my hair down because I see what all of the other girls are doing, they have their hair down and it’s pretty.’ My husband was like, ‘Nope. The best way to be successful in this business is to stand out. Look at what everybody else is doing and do the complete opposite.’ Because of him, I wore it and now it’s my thing," she said.
