Big E finally breaks silence on Xavier Woods' recent tease about a potential WWE alliance with "old friends"

WWE Superstar, Big E, shared his two cents on what Xavier Woods could possibly mean with his recent tease. In a cryptic post on social media a few days ago, the former King of the Ring hinted at a reunion with some old friends, sparking speculation among fans.

For the past few weeks on Monday Night RAW, tension has been escalating between Kofi Kingston and Woods, ever since Karrion Kross attempted to sow seeds of discord within The New Day.

Since Big E's absence from the ring, the remaining members of the faction have struggled to maintain their momentum. The duo has been unable to secure tag team gold, despite multiple attempts in the past three years. On the September 16, 2024, episode of the red brand, Kingston and Woods fell short against The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the World Tag Team Championship.

In an interview with Sports Talk Philly, The Power of Positivity broke his silence on Woods' cryptic tweet, stating that he didn't understand the exact meaning behind the 38-year-old's message. Big E also expressed his uncertainty about The New Day's current situation, emphasizing his hands-off approach, unless someone requested otherwise.

"I don't know exactly what he's [Xavier Woods] alluding to. I've for the most part been hands-off with what those guys are going through right now. I'm still very connected, but it's one of those things where I don’t want to meddle or be involved if I'm not asked to be involved," he said. [H/T: Sports Talk Philly]

Big E hopes that WWE stars Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will figure out their issues

The former WWE World Champion further recalled The New Day's decade-long journey together, emphasizing their resilience during challenging times in 2014 and 2015, which was attributed to their unwavering unity.

During the same interaction on Sports Talk Philly, Big E mentioned that the friendship between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston would endure beyond their wrestling careers and hoped they could overcome whatever challenges they were facing.

"I'm hopeful that whatever they are going through they will figure out. We spent a decade together, even at a time when no one foresaw us doing these incredible things. The only reason we made it through the tough times in 2014 and 2015 was because we stuck together. It was us against everyone that stood in our way. So I hope more than anything that those guys always remember why we started this, why we came together and how much we care about each other," he added. [H/T: Sports Talk Philly]

For next week's episode of Monday Night RAW, Woods is set to face WWE Hall of Famer, Rey Mysterio, for the first time in a singles match. Whereas, Kingston will collide with Chad Gable of the American Made in a one-on-one clash.

Only time will tell what the future holds for The New Day in WWE. It bears watching whether they will stay united or eventually part ways.
