Big E shares major physical update 2 years after last WWE match
Big E shared an update on his physical condition two years after his last match in WWE. The New Day star has not wrestled since suffering a broken neck on the March 11, 2022, episode of SmackDown.
Big E has been making regular appearances on the Kickoff Shows for WWE Premium Live Events but has not returned to the ring since his injury over two years ago. Speaking with Kyle Odegard of Sports Talk Philly, Big E said he will be getting scans in the next few months and will consider a return to the ring if the doctors tell him it is okay to do so.
“I’m just taking every day as it comes. I know that sounds cliche. But I get scans again in another 3-6 months, and if they look great and the doctors say it’s healthy for me to go back, then that’s something where we’ll sit down and talk about it. But I try not to spend too much time worrying about things I can’t control. It’s nice to know that if I get the opportunity to get back in the ring, and I can do it healthily, then let’s do that. Let’s attack it fully. But if not, I know exactly what I want to do, and I’m excited about that path, too," said Big E.
Big E addresses The New Day teasing a split on WWE RAW
Former WWE Champion Big E recently shared his thoughts on Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston not getting along on RAW.
The New Day lost their chance to defeat The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to capture the Tag Team Championship on the September 16 edition of WWE RAW. Kingston and Woods have not been on the same page and seemingly are teasing a split.
Speaking on the Getting Over: Wrestling Podcast, the veteran noted that his stablemates are at a crossroads at the moment.
"Yeah, you know, obviously those are my brothers for life. There is a bit of a crux. Like, we have spent so much time at the top of the tag team division. Kofi [Kingston] being World Champion, I got an opportunity to be World Champion, and [Xavier] Woods is King of the Ring. After the run in the NXT, I feel like now, where do we fit here? I feel like it's a bit of a crossroads for them figuring out what they want to do," E said. (From 1:14:43 to 1:15:12)
The New Day also lost to American Made this past Monday night on WWE RAW. It will be fascinating to see what the future holds for the popular faction.
