Big E shares rare personal post amid WWE return speculation
WWE Superstar Big E recently shared a heartwarming update on social media amid speculations of a potential return to television. The New Day member has been absent from in-ring action for over two years.
The 38-year-old was forced out of action due to a horrific neck injury he sustained during a Tag Team Match on the March 11, 2022, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. He has not wrestled since. However, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods mentioned the former WWE Champion while arguing backstage, leading to fans speculating Big E's much-awaited return.
Big E took to his Instagram account to reshare a story posted by his girlfriend, Kris Yim. The sister of WWE Superstar, Mia Yim, had posted a heartwarming picture of herself sitting alongside the former Money in the Bank winner at a restaurant.

WWE Superstar Big E opens up about a potential in-ring return
Several world champions, including Adam Copeland (fka Edge) and Bryan Danielson, returned to the squared circle after being out of action due to serious injuries. WWE Superstar, Big E, is hopeful of doing the same.
In an interview with Carlo Perruzza, the former Intercontinental Champion revealed why he was not given the clearance to compete even after a successful surgery. The New Day member pointed out he was already 38 and ideally wanted to get back to action as soon as possible. He added that he hopes to get cleared within a year or so.
"We’ll see [if I could ever wrestle again]. Right now, my neck is just not ossifying. It’s not turning into new bone quite yet. It is kind of healing fibrously. So it’s all connected, and it’s no fear that if I were pushed too hard or if I were bumped, anything would happen. None of that. But I’m not really in a position right now to be cleared medically. Because of the nature of what we do is very physical, and taking bumps requires you to have a rock-solid neck. So, we’ll see what the future holds. Mind you, there’s kind of a race against the clock. I’m 38. I’m no spring chicken anymore. So, if I were to be cleared, hopefully it would happen within the next year or so," he said. [H/T: POST Wrestling]
WWE has been teasing a potential split between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for several months. It remains to be seen if it will lead to the third member of the faction making his much-awaited return to keep them intact or if the pair will finally part ways after a spending decade together as The New Day.
