Bill Apter was "very surprised" to see WWE star being pinned at Money in the Bank (Exclusive)
WWE Money in the Bank 2024 had its fair share of surprising moments. However, veteran journalist Bill Apter was shocked when a particular match had a clean end.
With the Intercontinental Championship at stake, Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker went toe-to-toe in one of the most intense matches at the PLE. While many expected Bron to overcome Sami with his ferocity, the latter proved equally resilient. In the end, the former Honorary Uce was able to take Breakker down and pin him for the win.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter expressed his surprise at the booking.
"I was very surprised that he was pinned. My prediction, if you remember, was that he was gonna get disqualified, and then on a recent Monday Night RAW, you saw him throw a chair at Sami Zayn from outside the ring when he attacked him. So I don't know, they're still giving him kind of 50-50 matches, but usually, when you have somebody with his looks, his talent, his ferocity, you don't get him pinned," the veteran said. Bill Apter has previously criticized Bron Breakker's WWE booking
According to Bill Apter, Bron Breakker's booking has not lived up to expectations as of late.
Speaking on another episode of The Wrestling Time Machine, Apter stated:
"The talent has to live up to the videos that they are doing to introduce them. There's a certain guy in WWE currently who is being shown in these videos that he destroys and kills everybody. He's related to Rick Steiner actually. When they get him in the ring, he's just not showing the killer that he is in the videos. Once you do those videos, you got to have the talent match what the video is. This guy is Goldberg number two. Every week, though, he's against those guys that are hitting him once or twice and he's backing up. You'd never see that with Goldberg. What are they doing with him?" [From 5:55 onwards]
Only time will tell how the rest of Bron Breakker's WWE run will pan out.
