Bill Goldberg's son addresses the WWE legend's Royal Rumble status (Exclusive)
Bill Goldberg recently announced he will compete in a WWE retirement match in 2025. In an exclusive interview, the Hall of Famer's son Gage discussed his father's possible involvement at the upcoming Royal Rumble.
The 2025 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event will be held in Indianapolis on February 1. It is currently unclear whether two-time Royal Rumble entrant Bill Goldberg will wrestle on the card.
Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter asked Gage Goldberg if his father could appear at the event. The 18-year-old does not know any behind-the-scenes information but thinks the WCW icon would be up for the challenge:
"I mean, he could, for sure," Gage Goldberg said. "Hasn't really come up. He hasn't told me that yet but who knows? He'd definitely do it. He'd be down for anything. If they tell him, 'Okay, you're gonna fight this guy,' he's gonna do it. One hundred percent. [If WWE tells Bill Goldberg to] go in the Royal Rumble, he's gonna do it." [2:31 – 2:48]

Gage Goldberg on Bill Goldberg's WWE Royal Rumble chances
In 2004, Bill Goldberg was eliminated by Kurt Angle after making his Royal Rumble debut as the 30th entrant. In his second appearance in the match, the WCW icon was eliminated by The Undertaker in 2017 after entering from the number 28 spot.
Gage Goldberg believes his father stands a realistic chance of winning the Royal Rumble if he enters from a late position again:
"The spot you come out really affects it, but if he gets a good spot, he's holding his weight, he's kicking people's a**." [3:04 – 3:11]
In the same interview, Gage Goldberg addressed whether his dad could face Gunther in a first-time-ever match following their Bad Blood confrontation.
