Bill Goldberg's son responds to critics of his dad's WWE matches (Exclusive)

Bill Goldberg's match quality has come under scrutiny throughout his time in WCW and WWE. In an exclusive interview, Gage Goldberg gave his take on people criticizing his father's in-ring ability.

In 2019, Bill Goldberg's wrestling skills became a hot topic when he botched several moves after suffering a concussion against The Undertaker at Super ShowDown. While that match lasted nine minutes, many of the WCW icon's contests were over in less than five.

Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter likened Bill Goldberg's bouts to the quick knockout wins Mike Tyson recorded during his boxing career. Gage Goldberg agreed with Apter before explaining why his dad does not need to wrestle long matches:

"Yes, sir, one hundred percent. Some people say, 'It's a weakness thing, he doesn't have any conditioning,' but he goes in there, he Spears someone, that thing hurts. You're done after that, and then with the Jackhammer on top of it, you're not getting up." [3:34 – 3:47]

Gage Goldberg on Jake Paul vs. WWE Hall of Famer Mike Tyson

On November 15, YouTube sensation Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson in an eight-round boxing match.

Many felt that Paul, 27, went easy on Tyson, 58, due to his age. However, Gage Goldberg believes the WWE Hall of Famer put up a good fight considering his boxing career ended in 2005:

"I don't really know if I felt that. I feel like Mike Tyson was still standing his ground a little bit. Yes, he was getting knocked off a little bit but he was still there. He was in the match the whole time. I don't feel like there was any pity in it." [0:52 – 1:03]

In the same interview, Gage Goldberg addressed whether his father could enter the 2025 WWE Men's Royal Rumble Match.
