Blood loss forces official to get involved when CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are busted open at Bad Blood
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre kicked off the Bad Blood premium live event. The two competed in a Hell in a Cell match to decide this important blood feud. The two WWE Superstars pushed each other to their limits, resulting in both of them getting busted open. The referee was forced to get involved due to the amount of blood lost.
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre met for the third time since the former's return to WWE in November last year. Each superstar was able to pick up a victory against the other at SummerSlam and Bash at Berlin before stepping into the brutal structure at WWE Bad Blood.
The two former WWE Champions didn't leave any stone unturned as they ensured to make each other bleed in the Cell. Drew McIntyre was the first to draw his opponent's blood after mauling him with a wrench and throwing him head-first into the unforgiving structure. The former AEW star returned the favor by busting McIntyre open with a toolbox.
The referee for the match was forced to get involved because of the bloodshed. The WWE official wiped the blood off both men's faces while Michael Cole applauded him for his efforts and for avoiding any more catastrophes that may have been caused due to the stars' visions being impaired because of their bloodied faces.
