Bloodline match ends in no contest after massive brawl breaks out; Cody Rhodes gets involved
The Bloodline's match was declared a no-contest after a brawl broke out on SmackDown. Even Cody Rhodes got himself involved in the scuffle.
Kevin Owens renewed his feud against The Bloodline earlier this year and has since been fighting alongside Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. However, the faction has made more enemies in Street Profits and DIY in recent weeks.
Tonight on SmackDown, Kevins Owens was in the ring to address Cody Rhodes' segment with Roman Reigns when he was interrupted by Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. When it looked like things were about to go downhill for Owens, DIY came out to help him. As a result, Nick Aldis booked a six-man tag team match for the main event.
However, before the match could begin, Bloodline attacked and took out DIY. But this didn't deter Owens, who marched on to fight the group by himself. Thankfully, Street Profits came out to replace Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, and the match commenced.
It turned chaotic in the closing moments, and the referee called it a no-contest after Tonga Loa broke the pin by pulling KO away from Tama. DIY also came out to brawl with the Bloodline but was taken out.
After Fatu hit his splash on Kevin Owens, Rhodes came out with a steel chair and chased the group away.
It's good to see that The American Nightmare was backstage at SmackDown so that he could have his friend's back.
