Bloodline member in action on WWE SmackDown for the first time in over 2 months
The final WWE SmackDown before Saturday Night's Main Event is shaping up to be a massive episode for the blue brand. Amid speculation on the future of The Bloodline, new details on plans for SmackDown have been revealed, while another big match has been booked.
Solo Sikoa and The New Bloodline were destroyed by Roman Reigns and The OG Bloodline inside WarGames at Survivor Series two weeks ago. Despite losing Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu to injuries, Solo invaded last week's SmackDown with Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, taking out Andrade and LA Knight. Solo promised they are not weakened or finished off, and that he is still The Head of The Table.
The Street Champion is now set to wrestle a rare singles match on tonight's SmackDown against The Megastar. Nick Aldis has just announced Sikoa vs. Knight for the WWE SNME go-home show as a follow-up to last Friday's attack, as seen below. The SmackDown General Manager teased this as the main event.
Solo rarely works singles bouts on RAW and SmackDown these days. His last televised singles match before tonight came 63 days ago, which was the win over Jimmy Uso on October 11. Before that, Solo lost the Steel Cage match to Cody Rhodes on the September 13 episode and was defeated by Cody via DQ on the June 21 episode, one week after his SmackDown singles win over Kevin Owens.
Tonight's SmackDown from the XL Center in Hartford, CT, will also feature the following: Carmelo Hayes vs. mystery opponent, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens have the final word before WWE SNME, plus Michin vs. Tiffany Stratton and Bayley vs. Chelsea Green semi-finals matches in the tournament to crown the inaugural Women's United States Champion.
