Bloodline member discusses why SmackDown promo possibly triggered old memories for Roman Reigns (Exclusive)

Former WWE star and Anoa'i family member Afa Anoa'i Jr. recently spoke about Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes confronting each other inside Georgia Tech Stadium. The two titans decided to settle their differences ahead of Bad Blood.

Reigns and Rhodes came face-to-face in Altlana for a promo segment. The two stars put their cards on the table and aired any grievances they had with each other. They ultimately agreed to put their differences aside and work together to take down The Bloodline.

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, Anoa'i Jr. mentioned how both he and Reigns were football players and were pitted against each other in 2004. He added that the stadium was full of family members supporting both men, although they were on different teams. The former WWE star felt the promo on SmackDown brought back all those memories.

"Once upon a time back when we were in high school and college, myself and Roman Reigns were both Division 1 football players. I was a US Army All-American. I chose to play ball [at] University of Connecticut, Roman went to Georgia Tech. Our freshman year, 2004, Yukon played at Georgia Tech. So it was Anoa'i vs. Anoa'i back in 2004 in that stadium. That just got put back on the map because of the promo."

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will have to work together to take out The Bloodline.

It will be interesting to see whether the two megastars can keep their egos aside and work towards a common goal of defeating Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood.
