Blunder in Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio's RAW segment uncovers a big issue, notes veteran (Exclusive)
Multiple storylines received a push on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW. However, WWE's apparent inability to get heat on their heels might be a problem, according to wrestling veteran Vince Russo.
The angle involving Rhea Ripley and The Judgment Day moved along on RAW as Mami once again got the better of Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio.
While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, Vince Russo admitted that he was not pleased to see WWE book the trio run away from Ripley. The former WWE head writer felt it was a mistake from the company and highlighted a recurring trend of on-screen villains not attracting the required heat due to how they are presented.
"You've got Liv, Raquel, and Dominik backing off of one person. I don't know how you're ever getting heat on heels that way, man," Vince Russo said. [33:52 - 34:03]
WWE tries to keep the crowd happy even at TV shows and Vince Russo noted how RAW and SmackDown are also sometimes treated like live events. The promotion was appeasing fans by making the babyface look strong. Russo did not have any complaints if WWE did indeed follow the aforementioned strategy but brought attention to the sluggish viewership numbers that have not increased in years:
"If they are going by this rule of thumb, it's really hard for me to argue with that and they may be going by this rule of thumb. We're making so much money right now, don't change anything. And that's great. But again, between AEW and WWE, we've been looking at those same numbers forever. And I don't want to hear about social media numbers and 42 million subscribers on YouTube until you can 1000% verify those numbers." [34:33 - 35:13]

While WWE has changed considerably under the creative leadership of Triple H, there are still several areas that could be fine-tuned as we prepare for Crown Jewel 2024.
