Bo Dallas has an uncanny resemblance to Bray Wyatt during recent RAW segment, according to ex-WWE member
WWE star Bo Dallas has captured the imagination of fans with his portrayal of Uncle Howdy. The gimmick has grabbed headlines across the wrestling world. Dutch Mantell has now commented on a recent segment featuring Dallas.
This past week on RAW, a tape dropped featuring a conversation between Uncle Howdy and Bo Dallas. The eerie figure asked Dallas some tough questions about his brother's death and whether he was trying to exploit Bray Wyatt's legacy. The former NXT Champion replied that all he ever wanted to be was like his brother.
This week on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the WWE veteran praised Dallas for his latest segment on RAW. Mantell felt the star had a striking resemblance to his late brother, Bray Wyatt. Mantell felt the 34-year-old did a great job during the sequence, playing himself and the spooky Uncle Howdy.
"With the beard, he does look a lot like Bray. There is a strong family resemblance. He did a very emotional interview. It made you watch it because you felt Bo [was] missing his brother. He explained why he missed him, [and] wanted to be just like him. So, it was, I think, a good performance on both ends. Uncle Howdy talking to Bo, asking the questions. It's almost like a counseling session with his brother. That's what they meant it to be right?" [7:05 - 8:03]
Dutch Mantell feels Bo Dallas is paying homage to Bray Wyatt
During the same conversation, Dutch Mantell mentioned that The Wyatt Sicks was a great way for Bo Dallas to pay homage to Bray Wyatt. He pointed out that the creative team needed more time to develop Dallas' character.
"They're not trashing his name, they're keeping him in the same form that the fans remember him. So my jury is out on this one, I just think it needs more time." [8:31 - 8:50]
The wrestling veteran felt the storyline could be one of the most intriguing angles for the company in the future.
