Bobby Lashley continues to support former stable following WWE departure
Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley showcased his support for his former stablemate on social media following his departure from the wrestling promotion. The All Mighty was moved to WWE's alumni section earlier this week.
On the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins locked horns with DIY in a Number One Contender's Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Both teams were part of a highly engaging back-and-forth contest, which saw the Street Profits secure a hard-fought win. The duo will face The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga in a title match next week on the blue brand.
After the win, Montez Ford took to his Instagram account to share a heartfelt update. The 34-year-old shared multiple images from the entertaining contest against DIY as he penned an emotional message thanking fans, family, and friends for their constant support. Ford mentioned the Street Profits have a lot of respect for Ciampa and Gargano.

The Instagram post grabbed the attention of several fellow performers, including Montez Ford's former stablemate Bobby Lashley. The 48-year-old dropped a short message for the Street Profits in the comments section. Before getting injured earlier this year, Lashley was part of a faction called The Pride, which featured the former tag team champions and B-Fab.
"ππΎππΎππΎ you got this!!!" he wrote in the comments section.
Bill Apter shares his take on Bobby Lashley's potential move to AEW following WWE
Even before Lashley parted ways with WWE, several rumors suggested he might sign with AEW. However, veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter recently shared an interesting take on why the move might not end well for the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
Speaking on a recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, the 78-year-old praised Lashley and his physique. But at the same time, he mentioned it could have a negative effect if he joins AEW. He added that the Tony Khan-led promotion does not have a believable opponent for Bobby Lashley.
"He looks like pumped, and an athlete, he really takes care of himself. Who in AEW would be going against Bobby Lashley who is physically, looks like a monster? I can't think of any 'heavyweight' in AEW that would be an equal match to him. Who would that be?" wondered Apter. [4:45 onwards]
Lashley has showcased his talent inside the squared circle for several years. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for him following his departure from WWE.
