Bobby Lashley makes bold claim following WWE exit
Bobby Lashley made an interesting claim on social media today following his WWE departure. The veteran was removed from the company's active roster last month.
The All Mighty was a member of the popular The Hurt Business faction in the promotion alongside MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin. The group was disbanded in 2022, but there have been recent rumors that they could reunite outside WWE. MVP's time in the Stamford-based company has also come to an end, and Shelton Benjamin was also released from the promotion last year.
Lashley was supposed to compete in the King of the Ring Tournament earlier this year but was pulled due to injury. The veteran took to Instagram today to make a bold claim and stated that most people would struggle to recover from injury, but he was built differently and trained harder because it was in his DNA to do so.
"Some people don’t understand you when you say you’re built different. After a major injury/boo boo 😁most people would struggle to recover but I go harder—because winning is in my DNA. This is more than recovery training for me; it’s a declaration of strength for anyone who has a goal to reach," he wrote.
Cedric Alexander is the only remaining member of The Hurt Business in the Stamford-based company, and recent reports suggest that the 35-year-old has signed a new contract with WWE.
WWE Hall of Famer gives advice to Bobby Lashley
Wrestling legend, Booker T, recently gave Bobby Lashley advice about a potential career in boxing.
Lashley disclosed last month on The Laboratory podcast that he had a boxing match lined up but did not reveal the opponent. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T warned the former champion about getting in a boxing ring.
He noted that in a clash against even Jake Paul, Lashley was older and slower, and could potentially get knocked out if the bout were to take place.
"I like Bobby, but if you want to go get knocked out, go fight Jake Paul," Booker T said. "Doesn't matter [that he's bigger] one bit. [Lashley is] older, slower, as well as he hasn't been training to be a boxer. Boxing is not something you play, as real as it possible could be. If I was advising Bobby Lashley, I would advise him, 'Bro. Do something else.'" [H/T: Wrestling INC]

Bobby Lashley hasn't competed in a match since defeating Santos Escobar at a WWE Live Event on May 5. It will be fascinating to see what the future holds for the 48-year-old in the world of professional wrestling.
