Bobby Lashley sends emotional personal update and promise on 74th day of WWE absence
Bobby Lashley has been absent from WWE for a long time and has sent an emotional personal update. The star was last seen wrestling on May 5, 2024.
Lashley was set to participate in the King of the Ring tournament but had to drop out like several other stars initially set to compete there. He last wrestled on May 5 against Santos Escobar, whom he defeated. Unfortunately, Nick Aldis had to announce that The All Mighty was withdrawing from the competition due to an injury. The SmackDown General Manager did not specify the type of injury, and an exact report on the star's condition remains unknown.
The star took to his Instagram to update followers on his activities during the 74th day of his absence. In an emotional post, Lashley shared that he was stepping up and spending time with his family.
The update was about "Lashley Family 2024" and the goals he had set. He also promised to be their protector and cheerleader.
"Lashley Family 2024: Being their dad is the most rewarding role of my life. I will continue to work hard to be their role model, protector and biggest cheerleader. #family #lashleys #familygoals #fatherdaughter #fatherhood," he wrote.
Lashley's focus on his family may be admirable, but fans will also be worrying about whether this means that he is heading towards retirement. He is 48, which is on the higher end for pro wrestlers. However, he has not yet spoken about retirement.
Bobby Lashley may return with a target on WWE titles
Bobby Lashley has not had a big title for some time now, but that may be his next target when he finally returns.
The star put out a post recently with different titles in the picture, and said that he was getting ready.
"Domination is for champions; competition is for everyone else. #TitleChasing #gettingready," Bobby Lashley wrote.
It remains to be seen if he returns and immediately challenges Cody Rhodes. The two have not had a proper feud yet, and it could end up taking place.
For the moment, fans will have to wait for his return.
