WWE Hall of Famer is hopeful of Bobby Lashley's return from injury
Bobby Lashley is among the most experienced performers on the roster. He is currently working alongside younger talents in the form of The Street Profits. His unfortunate injury was a massive blow to the Stamford-based company.
On an episode of his The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T shared his reaction to Lashley getting sidelined due to injury. The former world champion joked about his match with the latter during the 2006 edition of the prestigious tournament. He further pointed out that The All Mighty would soon return from injury:
"Well, the last time Bobby was taken out of the King of the Ring tournament, I did it. And now Bobby falls again. The man is injury prone," he joked. "I'm just playing, man. Bobby's down. It's one of those things, when you're in a tournament like that, something is always bound to happen. [...] But I'm sure Bobby's gonna get back real, real soon."
Bobby Lashley was involved in a back-and-forth with former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes before he got injured. It remains to be seen if the veteran will go after the 29-year-old following his return from injury.
