Bobby Lashley thinks 39-year-old WWE star is being underutilized and should be an opponent to Cody Rhodes
Bobby Lashley may not be in WWE anymore but he has many of his peers in the company - including a recent rival of his. That rival happens to be a 39-year-old star on RAW, and Lashley not only thinks he isn't being utilized as he should, but that he could be a challenger to the likes of Cody Rhodes. This was the leader of The Final Testament, Karrion Kross.
Bobby Lashley had an unfortunate WWE exit this year as he was one of the superstars who didn't fare as well under the relatively new regime of Triple H - who has seemingly prioritized building new stars. As a result, the established multi-time world champion found himself in a decreasingly important spot on television and has now left the company after over six years.
During the K&S WrestleFest, Bobby Lashley was asked about his recent rival - RAW Superstar Karrion Kross. Lashley heaped praise on Kross who he joked "badmouthed" him during their feud earlier this year. However, The All-Mighty stated that he could be utilized a lot better than he was right now and suggested that he could be the perfect antagonist to stars like Cody Rhodes and Gunther.
Lashley even said he feels that The Final Testament doesn't add much to Karrion Kross, who he believes will be fine as a singles star with his wife by his side. He even thinks that AoP could crush it on their own in the tag team division.
AEW-bound Bobby Lashley teased returning to another old promotion.
According to Fightful Select, Bobby Lashley has already put pen to paper on his AEW deal and it's just a matter of when, and not if, he debuts for Tony Khan's promotion. However, he has still been keeping his eyes open on his former employer, TNA Wrestling.
On the K&S WrestleFest's virtual signing, The All-Mighty teased a return to TNA, targeting Nic Nemeth, fka Dolph Ziggler, as well as Moose.
"A feud with Nic would actually be pretty cool. I know he's running the show over there. I also talk with Moose, he's a good friend of mine. Phenomenal wrestler. That's a feud I really haven't been able to jump into. I see Lio [Rush] over at AEW with MVP and Shelton [Benjamin]. That's also a good opportunity." [H/T - Fightful]
TNA fans would love to see Lashley in the ring, but it looks like the priority of the company is to have a healthy working relationship with WWE.
