Booker T calls three-time Women's Champion the best worker of her era
Booker T was all praise for a former Women's Champion. He called her the best worker of her era.
Melina first made a name for herself in WWE as a valet and girlfriend for Johnny Nitro, aka John Morrison. However, she would occasionally get in the ring and showcase her athletic side.
After their partnership wound down, Melina embarked on a successful singles run that showed how talented she could be in the ring. During this time, she won the Women's Championship and the Divas Championship on multiple occasions. In fact, even Booker T was all praise for her.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker recalled how he told Melina at a convention that she was the best worker of her era.
"Melina, she's cool people," Booker said. "She really is. I've run into her a few times at some of the conventions and what not. I actually had a conversation with Melina at the last time we was at one of the conventions, and I told her that she was the best damn worker of her era. She was. Truly the best. Truly the best. Did she have a dark side? Of course she did. But as far as being the best worker at that time, in the company, nobody was better than Melina. Nobody." [H/T Wrestling Inc.]
Booker T praised Damian Priest's current run as World Heavyweight Champion
Damian Priest has really come into his own in recent months. It all started with him winning Money in the Bank last year. He held onto the briefcase for almost a year and finally cashed in at WrestleMania 40 to become the World Heavyweight Champion.
Since winning the title, Priest has been hell-bent on proving himself as a champion and has even rejected the interference of his Judgment Day stablemates during his matches. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T was all praise for Priest being able to get the job done by himself.
"Damian's [Priest] been doing a hell of a job. What I appreciate about Damian is they've [WWE] been letting him go out there and get the work done all by himself. He hasn't had a lot of outside interference in his matches or anything like that. He's been going out there showing that he can compete, not compete but perform at the highest level," said Booker.
