Brandi Rhodes reacts to WWE name's feat during SmackDown opener

This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown saw Cody Rhodes clash with Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Steel Cage Match to kick off the show in Seattle. While both men were putting up a great fight against each other, Brandi Rhodes reacted to a special feat of another WWE name while the match was still going on.

Ring announcer Alicia Taylor was moved from the developmental territory of NXT to Friday Night SmackDown in May 2024. The 44-year-old has been doing a great job on the blue brand and this week, she introduced The Bloodline’s leader and The American Nightmare to open the show.

Interestingly, Taylor’s fiery announcement didn’t go unnoticed by Brandi Rhodes, who reacted to it via a tweet on X.

“Well done @AliciaTaylorWWE Made me feel that much more nervous with pure grit and vocal strength. 😂”

Taylor’s stirring introduction had also pumped Cody Rhodes during the match, who was seen trying to energize the crowd when he was being introduced. Taylor's electric vocals could have contributed to the champion’s mindset of picking up a pinfall win over escaping the cage, as he was initially seen trying to do.

The American Nightmare’s victory, however, was soon followed up by The Bloodline ganging up on him. However, he was saved by Roman Reigns, who made another surprise appearance to challenge Sikoa’s authority. This time, the new Bloodline's leader and his Enforcer Jacob Fatu chose to escape instead of facing The OTC. It would be interesting to see what lies next in Reigns and Sikoa’s battle of supremacy.
