Braun Strowman shares heartbreaking truth about relationship with Erick Rowan
Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan are former members of The Wyatt Family and are both currently on WWE RAW. Strowman recently opened up about his relationship with Rowan, who recently returned to the company and is now part of The Wyatt Sicks.
Rowan was initially released back in 2020 during the global pandemic. He returned to WWE during the tribute show for Bray Wyatt last year before signing a new deal earlier this year and returning as a member of The Wyatt Sicks.
On the other hand, Strowman was also released by WWE in 2021 and was re-hired a year later. He's currently part of RAW and was in a recent feud with The Judgment Day.
In an appearance on Busted Open Radio, The Monster Among Men discussed his current relationship with Rowan. They haven't had a proper talk since his return because it's not the same anymore with the passing of Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper (aka Brodie Lee).
"Unfortunate two of us are gone. That's one of the weird things like seeing Rowan back and we haven't really talked too much just cause everything's going on. We're busy and stuff but it's just not the same. It's not the same in the locker room," Strowman said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
Braun Strowman has not wrestled since losing to Damian Priest on the July 15th episode of RAW. Erick Rowan, on the other hand, made his re-debut in the ring as part of The Wyatt Sicks last Monday in a Six-Man Tag Team Match with Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy against American Made (Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers.)
Braun Strowman trying to stay away from The Wyatt Sicks
In the same appearance on Busted Open Radio, Braun Strowman reacted to The Wyatt Sicks' arrival in WWE. Strowman was thought to be attacked by the group during their debut but that was not the case. The former Universal Champion is even trying to stay away from them.
"As scary as it is, as much as I'm trying to stay away from it, it's cool to see them because I have a lot of fond memories in those dark times in my life that I think on and remember because there was some positives. ... This lost kid that came into a business that necessarily didn't want him here and three brothers reaching their hand out and pulling me all the way," Strowman said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
Braun Strowman found success after The Wyatt Family's final disbandment in 2017. He's a former Universal Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and three-time Tag Team Champion.
