Britt Baker makes bold claim about Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens and Britt Baker work on two different sides of the wrestling world, but there is somewhat of a connection there, thanks to the latter's longtime partner, Adam Cole. AEW's dentist-cum-wrestler has just made a surprising statement about WWE SmackDown's brawler, one that is sure to go viral across both fan groups.

The Prizefighter and The Panama City Playboy have shared the ring 15 times since October 2010 for NXT, PWG, and ROH. Their series of singles matches is currently led by Cole at 3-2. Owens and Cole had multiple intergender matches early in their careers, such as their PWG DDT4 2014 win over Candice LeRae and Joey Ryan. Owens was a few months into his WWE contract when Baker began training to be a wrestler, but it's clear they have become friends over the years.

When asked, Dr. Baker had nothing but nice things to say about KO. Speaking to Fightful, the former AEW Women's World Champion was asked to give her thoughts on the former WWE United States Champion.

"Kevin Owens... probably needs to floss more, but I think Kevin Owens is someone that I call a dear friend, and I think he's one of the best pro wrestlers on the planet, one of the best entertainers, so clever, so smart, one of my favorite promos, but on top of that, just such an awesome guy, such a great person," Britt Baker said. Baker continued:

"And someone that anytime I need advice in the ring, outside of the ring, that's someone that I'm never afraid to go to, and someone that I know is always going to be real with me, and someone that you can trust, and that goes a long way in professional wrestling, being able to trust people to be honest with you, to be kind with you, and to have your back," Britt Baker said. Owens teamed with Randy Orton for a loss to The Bloodline on last week's SmackDown episode. Baker returned from a one-month hiatus on Wednesday's Dynamite fifth anniversary show to defeat Serena Deeb.

Kevin Owens to AEW speculation

Kevin Owens has been with WWE since 2014. However, there is an uptick in rumors about KO potentially going to AEW.

The Prizefighter will see his WWE contract expire early next year. It was recently reported that KO had not signed WWE's extension offer, while Tony Khan is prepared to lure KO in with a big-money deal as he has wanted to sign the Canadian grappler for some time.

Owens has been rumored for a heel turn against Cody Rhodes on SmackDown to set up a match for the Undisputed WWE Championship. A big angle is rumored with Randy Orton for Bad Blood on Saturday.
